“Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God – First Corinthians 10:31

A life verse sums up your life’s thoughts, actions, and purpose. There are numerous life verses to choose from in the Bible. You may even have a different verse for your life at different stages of your life.

For me, 1 Corinthians 10:31 is the verse that the Lord impressed on me from the beginning of my discipleship training as a Christian. It continues to ring loud and true in my soul even to this day.

To me, it sums up what God’s will is for my life and why I should be doing anything and everything I am engaged in.

How about you?

Have you found a life verse that is especially meaningful to you and that sums up how you think about and live life?

Here are couple of verses that could serve well for a life.

“Is there not a cause?” (1 Samuel 17:29)

“I am doing a great work, so that I cannot come down: why should the work cease, whilst I leave it, and come down to you?” (Nehemiah 6:3)

“For our rejoicing is this, the testimony of our conscience, that in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom, but by the grace of God, we have had our conversation in the world, and more abundantly to you ward.” (2 Corinthians 1:12)

Ask God to show you a life verse that will define your life vision, purpose, and goals. I am sure that the prayer, thoughtfulness, and reading of His Word in your quest to choose a life verse will bless you. It might even change you life.
